Who we are
Grindon Young Peoples Centre("GYPC", "we", "us") is a registered charity (No. 502878) based at Grindon Lane, Sunderland, SR4 8HW. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through the GYPC Staff mobile app used by our staff and volunteers.
What information we collect
- Contact details you provide (name, email address, phone number).
- Booking details, including who the booking is for, any accessibility requirements and notes you share with us.
- Payment information is processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.
- Messages you send through our contact form.
- For staff and volunteers using the GYPC Staff app: your name, work email address and sign-in details, and a device identifier used solely to send you booking notifications.
How we use your information
- To manage bookings, payments and attendance at our activities.
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
- To send booking confirmations and important service messages.
- To keep proper records as required of a registered charity.
We will not sell your personal information, and we only share it with service providers (such as our payment and email providers) where needed to run our services.
How long we keep information
We keep booking and payment records only as long as needed for our legal and accounting obligations, and contact enquiries only as long as needed to deal with them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. To make a request, contact us at grindonypc@gmail.com or call 0191 528 4092.
